    Brad Philpot, author of English B for the IB Diploma (Cambridge University Press), frequently gives workshops on English B and generic Language B for the Diploma Programme. You can invite Brad or one of his colleagues into your school for a 2-day workshop on the new Language B guide. See the sample agenda below, which can be adjusted to fit your school's timetable.     Sample student work, the 'do's' and 'don'ts' of Paper 1, unpacking prompts and selecting text types, understanding the criteria.

    Session 3 - Concepts and text types

    Developing writing skills, concept-based learning, finding model texts, defining features of text types.

    Session 4 - Paper 2 listening comprehension

    Let's listen! Practice taking listening exam, create a list of ‘tips and tricks’, find listening material, create listening activities.

    Test-taking strategies, text-handling exercises, developing reading strategies, finding texts

    Conducting IOs, exploring extracts of literature, teaching literature, discussing literature, what we read.
